Fed: Text warnings go nationwide
Text messages and emails fuelling Sydney's race riots have surfaced in three other
states .. but authorities believe they are a hoax.
A police spokeswoman on the Gold Coast says they believe the messages aren't real ..
but she says police have made plans just in case.
Similar messages have also been reported in Victoria and Western Australia.
Victoria Police Commissioner CHRISTINE NIXON says her officers have tracked two messages
in Victoria to one person .. and she says that person's been spoken to.
Violence has flared in the suburbs of Sydney since Sunday night .. as a result of clashes
between groups of youths .. which police have struggled to control.
